My firewall is not active, and I have flushed my DNS and restarted my computer yet batch render still does not work and I still get the socket error.I am running http://vgadownload.com/socket-error/socket-error-creating-command-port-7835.html

but nothing really rendered. Maya 2015 Batch Render Not Working Supposedly its connected to Mental Ray but I'm not positive about this. We have seen this after a system has picked up a new IP from the server but the DNS has not refreshed itself and is now pointing to another machine.

The other is a DNS issue, we find this generally on the Mac side of things.

You can also set your Verbosity Level to Detailed Messages to try and see what is going wrong, or where mental ray dies each time.
